The M1028 was an even heavier CUCV variant designed as a shelter carrier. I won't be using the carrier brackets/hardware for my project truck. I'm including a photo of the brackets/hardware included, and also one of them installed on the bed for reference.
These would work great for a military restoration project, or just to reinforce the bed sides if you don't want to run a tailgate (and add some tie-downs in the process).
