I am thinking it might be the power sleeve but she is "tight" going on the 10 spline input/output shafts. Sounds like it is coming through the adapter as I have yet to put a shifter boot over the four on the floor lever. It only happens when the driveline is getting full torque. Any ideas? She is getting a new transfer case this week because of some detent issues the old one is having. We will see what happens.

10 spline sleeves will definitely wear but I doubt that course spline could wear to the point of occasionally slipping and still work.

Right but that’s different.

Could it be a driveshaft vibration you’re hearing?
