So where it has to bend a bit.
Clean it up good like you’re saying and warm up the trim and the sheet metal. And hold pressure on it a good while after sticking it back on.
If that doesn’t work, small area like that I’d try some thin double sided tape or I might just put a dab of good epoxy on it like 3M 4200. That **** will glue anything together. Sticks well to shiny fiberglass should stick to paint.

You could also try just putting new tape on them. And then do the proper cleaning before putting them back on. I did that with a pair of the plastic vent visors. They were coming loose when I bought the truck, pulled them off, scraped the old tape off, and put new 3m double sided tape on. Actually did the same thing with a set of factory flares, and had good results.
