That's what sold me on them. I had a Hybrid rental a while back and was very impressed with how comfortable and how well they drove. This one has 200k on it but it was a 2 owner with the second owning it from 11k-200k miles and a service record 2 miles long so I felt like it was a good buy. Plus it was a highway car, so that's a lot easier on things than in town. It literally looks like it's got 30k on it, the driver's seat is near perfect
The only thing I'm going to say negative is make sure to keep up on the oil changes and if you have problems with the timing chain it's time to sell.

Yeah I know the timing chain and water pumps are the two main issues that can be a big job/big deal on these. This one is quiet as a mouse, so I'm not too concerned. I'll keep up on fluid changes like the PO did and I'm sure I'll get another 50-100k out of it. It does have one very small oil leak at what I think is the oil pump for the direct injectors. So I'll have to replace that seal, but otherwise it's clean as a whistle under hood too. I also know the turbo seals can go but that's easy enough to get to and change when the time comes.

Trust me its 100% not a luxury... Well at least not in my case. I daily drive my 76 c10 and really try not to go further than I am willing to walk . Maybe when she gets every last cent of my life savings it will be more enjoyable. But she is ok at just putting around the small town I live in. I have been looking for a 4 door car though while I fix it up. It gets pretty difficult driving it daily and fixing stuff as almost everything in my pickup is original. Or was until it broke on me... Hell one of the headlights is the original headlight with the chevy insignia in the glass

These are my main daily drivers.
The '75 Scottsdale should be third because I mostly use it off road in the desert, 1,500 miles a year. The '07 Yamaha XV 1700 see's about 9,000 miles a year, if I do road trips, my 2013 Frontier see's about 20,000 miles a year, the '83 Toronado is my backup and only gets about 1,000-2,000 miles

'02 Silverado 4wd 4.8 w/294k on the clock. Everything works and nothing leaks. Runs right and tight with a Rough Country leveling kit and some 17's with mudders off a Denali I scored for $225 on CL. I'm probably in it a total of $5k and could turn a profit but would never hear the end of it from my mechanic who is in love with the truck. Also, have a 2005 Honda Pilot for more practical purposes and because the wife HAS to have a sunroof.

That's almost identical to my boss's truck/my work truck. 2000 Silverado, 4.8, 4wd, with a rough country leveling kit, with 295k under its belt. But its brown instead, and stock wheels.

F350 7.3 Diesel..I will replace it with my '86 K10 (avatar) once I paint it. I no longer need so much truck.
Being retired, I don't daily drive.
I have 8 vehicles, most are sunny weather type cars though.

not my daily, but my son's.
he just got his license a couple weeks ago, so his first ride ever. found a '91 Firebird V6 auto/od from an older guy who took pretty good shape of it. little over 100 thousand, runs perfect, smooth and straight. pretty good deal i figure for $3700. two things that impressed me most was the originality, and how it's been completely un-butchered, not one thing changed from stock.
only probs been minor, ordered new struts for the hatch, new sweeps for the winda's, had to do the F-body hi/low beam switch adjustment, and just changed all the fluids.
pretty stock, right down to the cassette deck. we did replace all 4 speakers with some new Kickers. a newer system will go in shortly.

as his china tires are split pretty bad on the sidewalls, we ordered some new Cooper Cobra Radial GT's and some new rims.
wheels showed up today, still waiting for the rubber, but decided to see how they look anyways.
factory locking lug nuts and of course the car didn't come with the key...2 mins with an impact socket....
and the kid is stoked over how they look
