Thanks. I like how it is coming along. It's amusing to me now to hear some people freak about the fact that I took all those cars out of their packages.

I would post pics of my garage, but it's just a third stall with a tool box that is too big for the amount of tools in it. Just a jack and stands laying around and a small air compressor that is barely good enough for pumping tires.

Here is where I got the cases at... http://www.carneyplastics.com/default.htm
I had several e-mail exchanges with them before I bought from them. Very nice people with great customer service.

Yes I have to agree, I'd freak the hell out if someone would come in and open my Hot Wheels, as a matter of fact, I'd go to prison for shooting them. I have over 25000 still in packages. My wife always tells me, if I ever cheat on her she'd open everyone of them, and give them away to the kids in the neighborhood. Heartless bitch!

Thought I'd bump an old threads. Here's a panoramic view of my shop interior. It's 30ft by 30ft. It was framed up to match my house but was just open studs when we bought the place. The previous owner was actually using it as a horse barn. I insulated it, built a workbench and storage closets, painted the floor and added electrical. The closet on the left houses my air compressor which keeps the noise down when it's on.

I couldn't work in that one. I'd be afraid to get it dirty.

Ha, I definitely get it dirty. I only took the pic because I cleaned it. I Had the engine and transmissions out of a suburban and my r10 in there at the same time. I build wood projects in it all the time too. I use the sawdust that I sweep up from the wood as oil absorb. The painted floor keeps oil from absorbing into the concrete but also makes the floor slick when there's oil on it.

I'm all for painted floors in shops. Yes, it becomes slick, but it does make the spills easier to see so you don't step in them and track them into the house, easier for clean up and floor doesn't stain. I've always wanted my garage floors painted. So far all I've ever gotten to was insulating, new drywall, and put work bench height 110v receptacles every 8 feet on the side walls, and one up high in the corner for TV, installed cable etc.

Sounds like you and me think a lot alike. I have a tv on the side not pictured with satellite. It's a little 32 inch, wish it were bigger. I spend a lot of time out in the shop so I figure make it comfortable. It's only 15 ft from my house but I still wish it had a ******* in it. The septic tanks are on the opposite side of the house so it'd take a lot of plumbing if it would even be downhill. I have two of those window units on wheels with the ducts for the summer and use a jet heater for the winter. I had a quote for central heat and plan on having it done some day but 3500 bucks just isn't practical right now.

And thanks scott and Caesar. I love my shop couch and love seat from the suburban seats. I need to steal the buckets (love seat) and get some perches and mount them in my truck. I set them in there one time and they looked sweet but I didn't have the perches to bolt them down right.

Nice shop. Mine is smaller than I would like (1+ car) and the guy who built it was in to rice burners so the door is too small to get my square in. I like the idea of a nice finished floor. If I can get one for cheap, I want to get an old electric furnace and just mount it to the ceiling. Plenty of heat and no ducting to worry about but much quieter than a jet heater.
