Also to note, my saddle tanks are long gone. I was able to tuck the pipes up tighter. I'll get some pics later today.

Cool, I've been thinking about doing a fuel cell in the truck and doing away with the dual tanks, would be nice to have space to hide the exhaust

Saw one a couple weeks ago that had a diamond plate fuel cell that looked like a tool box, but did have a tool box on the top. The whole unit was bed-high and the tool box portion may have been 3 or 4 inches deep with a locking lid, it looked sharp. The filler was on the driver's side right under the tool box and was tucked into a notch on the corner so it didn't stick out. The only thing that tipped anyone off that it was a fuel cell was the locking gas cap. Couldn't see any lines coming out of it. Looked like it held 20 gallons. I wish I had got a pic of it.

I've heard that exhaust being in front of the tire like that can cause the tire to age prematurely due to the excess heat and such  never done a study on it myself so take the info for what it's worth :)

Everything can be tucked pretty tight with the tanks gone. All of my pipe is 3"

Not the best picture, but you can see how much room there is with the saddle removed.

Then I would say your experience is a better gauge then just what I heard or read :) just thought it was worth mentioning with the pic previously posted :waytogo:

I would say it matters how close the outlets/tips are to the tires. Now that I see the pic you mentioned, that doesn't look too close. I just altered mine to dump over the axle, and I kinda like that better. Clean look. When I get a new system installed I am going to have them route it the same as the existing.

This is what I'm thinking of doing, hard to see the exhaust but I think it looks good and solves any issue with tire clearance

^^^wow, that's different! You know how sometimes exhaust fumes discolor the paint around the exhaust? I wonder how a guy would keep a truck like that from doing that going through the bedside like that? :hmm:
