Hey all, just got my 74 back on it's own weight in the rear. Used a shackle flip with HD shackle on the stock springs. After putting it all on it seems like the shackle flip is sticking out further from the frame than the original front spring hanger. Is this an issue? Wrong shackle flip maybe? It's a 1974 c20

Did you order a kit for a K20 or a K30? Needs to be for a K30. The frame on a C20 3+3 is actually a one ton. The C/K30's rear shocks mount inside the frame. C/K 20 standard cabs have the shocks between the frame and spring. The 20 series brackets hang out farther from the frame.

Here's the hangers in my K30.

This is a standard cab C20, but gives you the idea.

Yep wrong bracket. He’s got you all cleared up in the post above. You’ll find this issue swapping axles as well if you ever get into that.

The springs sucked in close are for dually trucks.
Now you need to buy another set of flip perches and another truck to use the 3/4 ton perches you already have. Win win as far as I'm concerned.

Appreciate the info, didn't realize that but I made sure they knew it was a crew cab when I ordered. I'll have to contact them tuesday and see what can be done now. Thanks!

Haha I mean I do have a 5.3 lsx sitting here too, maybe time to look for another truck to add

I used to think this too, but after getting this '85 SRW K30 and looking back at my '80 C20 3+3, they both have the springs sucked in.
