Does anyone have a good lead to where I can purchase body side vinyl trim/molding for a 1985 Scottsdale? You can buy aftermarket body trim/molding for a silverado, but not for a Scottsdale. Please see picture for details. Thank you.

You can also try a local body shop supply store. Many places will sell it by the foot, rather than buying an entire roll. It won't be an exact match, but it's very similar to the original moulding.

That stuff can be had from LMC truck as well, and it's a little cheaper than usa1. I've been thinking of getting a roll but may consider buying some at a body shop as I hadn't thought about trying that route.

Thank you all for your responses. I have researched the trim from USA1 and it is close to original, but not quite correct. The edges are more round. Factory edges were more pronounced and had more chrome stripe reveal. Furthermore, I just got off the phone with a GM licensed company that has the technology to replicate the factory GM trim... if they feel there is a market for it. Are there any viewers on this thread that think they would also like to see the black factory trim/molding on the market? Not just buy something that is "close enough"? I am a purest when I comes to restoring an item.

I still have the original painted metal ends, front and rear, for my Scottsdale, so I need to find the "correct" trim so it fits properly.

That would not be for me. The stuff sold by LMC is $85 for a roll and I'm balking at that because it seems like a lot of money for something that is looks only and has nothing to do with the function of the truck. Of course this is just my prospective, my truck is a work truck, but I really like it and want it to look good, but not to good, because if it's to perfect I'll be afraid to use it as a truck.

My painted ends are still intact as well, but the section on the drivers door is missing and in front of the wheel well on the passenger side bed. That's all I need is a few feet of the stuff which is why even an $85 dollar roll is hard to swallow.
