ok I have a 305, from an 84 c10 had some miles on it and stock lifters had dish, I was always told when this happens, ditch the cam and lifters, so I did.

Now I have a 350 from my 88 tbi gmt400 I bought a new cam for it, it's about 4 or 5 years old now, stock tbi cam, came from northern auto, melling box, no clue on the specs.

Now would that be a good 305 cam? or would a melling rv cam with 204/214 dur at .050 and I forget the lift on them, 420 maybe and something else?

or another cam, looking for something cheap, under a hundred for cam and lifters together.

I have the stock tbi cam so may run it to save coin. Any suggestions?

gonna be in my 88, has 33's and 3.42's now, one day 4.10's th350 trans, heads are stock 305 heads 1.84 valves,, and have some port work done.

You'll have more torque off idle with the tbi cam, if the heads have been worked to benefit from more lift then use 1.6 rockers, ( and good new springs ). I don't think you have enough ; gear, compression , or cubic inches for the best use of the other cam unless you use "fast bleed" lifters. It's a decent "old school" grind for a 350.

I'll probably stick with the stock tbi 350 cam and run it in the 305 to save coin, just gotta buy new lifters of course, just trying to stay as cheap as possible and just run it close to stock and be carb'd.
