Rust on truck bed

On my 79 K10, I have a major rust problem on the lower front sides of the bed, in front of the rear wheel wells. The rust has eaten all the way through in places. I have looked for a new bed at junk yards but it seems they have the same issue. Is there any way to be able to fix this without buying another bed?

LMC trucks has bed sides that are pretty cheap if you can do body work.

If you can afford them they do sell whole bed sides from several different companies. The bed sides easily come off with only three welds around the tailgate area and the rest of it is bolted on.
