I am putting my truck together still slowly but surely.
1989 r3500 7.4 and TH400 2wd
I do drive across yards, fields, and up grass/mud hills.
When I have this truck together I will be selling my others.
My main truck is a 94 c1500 and I have ran Kuhomo road venture AT51's
and for the most part I have no issues getting around unless it gets really wet.
On the other hand my buddy in his 2008 f150 xlt on highway tires has issues getting up my drive way when it is slightly wet.
I will be using the truck to tow and I want to make sure I have good traction.
The truck came with mis-matched dry rotted LT235/85 r16's
I was looking at either the BRIDGESTONE DUELER A/T REVO 2 - LT or the FIRESTONE DESTINATION M/T2 as drive tires and then something quieter like the BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/T 685 or even a primewell as a steer tire up front.
they would all be LT235/85r16 E tires and all brand new.
the primewell and the H/T have a 50k wear warranty so if they wear funny I can pro-rate replace them and rotate left to right front and rears as needed.
Is it a mistake to run different drive and steer tires on a 2wd or will everything be fine?
