When doing a light check with my dad, we discovered that the reverse light only turned on for half a second.
Turns out, the reverse light only turns on when going from park to reverse, but it turns off when I lock it in reverse.
Did a similar thing happen to anyone.

Common chevy issue in older trucks. All my trucks do it, i hold the shifter up a little and they stay on.

I added my own reverse lights, spot lights on a separate manual switch works great, especially when the guy behind you has their high beams on, one quick flip of the switch and wow what a response

Ive done that on my old gmt400. I aimed them to windshield level too. I always forgot to turn them off lol. My 78 actually has an LED pod mounted under the bumper, tagged in to the back up lights.
