At some unknown time in the past, the wiper motor on my 82 was replaced. Of course it has that mechanical cam actuated abomination of engineering for a washer pump - the design that has a 100% failure rate.
Of course it has failed. Makes a single noise then nothing, no wimpy, periodic, pulsating, pathetic squirts of liquid upon the filthy glass.
How hard it is to get rid of that and replace it with a real pump?
