I went to replace the power window motor but couldn't get the window into the fully up position to remove the window actuator. Does anyone know any tricks to help get it up?

Have someone push the switch and then have some one put one hand on the outside of the window and one on the inside and squeeze hard and pull it up.

Interesting thread. I am in the middle of replacing the whole regulator assy.
I have the new assembly in the door with the rollers in place. My issue is getting the threaded posts to get into the holes in the door. The posts are about 1" from where they need to be. I do have a bolt placed in the lower door, closer to the motor. Maybe I need to remove it before the threaded post move into position. Or do I just try to muscle the regulator into place?? The old unit seemed to come right out without any real pressure. Is there a 'trick' to this?

Put the threaded posts in the right holes first. This can be tricky. You can actually line up the wrong holes by mistake. Been there many times just keep trying. Not a favorite task of mine.

Are you saying that you have a lower bolt (45) in the regulator but can't get the upper studs to line up with the holes? Just keep trying - and see step 3 in the Install or Connect section below:

Thanks for the info guys. I got the regulator installed but had to take it out and power the motor with a motorcycle battery to get it to move about a 3/4". Everything lined up after that.
