Casting number inside the dish top pistons is 10128212. They're in an engine from a 1991 1-ton. Definitely the newer engine with 1 piece rear seal and the bosses for the roller lifter alignment thing.
Doesn't have roller lifters, darnit.
I had to use the thin rings for the shallower ring grooves.
I want to replace the pistons with ones just like stock. One has a cracked skirt so I figure the others may follow soon. Don't need forged $$$$$, it's just a truck, not a dragster.
Eventually the 82 GMC 1-ton flatbed will be on the road.
Edit: Changed my mind a bit. Since the engine came from a 1 ton truck, the compression ratio is likely 8.75:1. I want the pistons that'll give it the 9.3:1 compression ratio. Ring groove depth doesn't matter since I have the nearly new shallow rings that are in the engine, and a new set of the deep groove rings.
Edit2: Part number for Z71 "High Limit" pistons is 14093990
