Removing paint and "polishing" it while maintaining patina?

Cab looks fine, you could probably just rattlecan the bed to match the front. White is the easiest color to spray paint, hides imperfections real well and never looks "stripey" (unless you do a ******* terrible job). Spray paint usually doesn't look as good as a real paint job obviously, but since the white on your cab is old and faded they'll probably match up perfectly, without wasting a bunch of time and money trying to artificially "patina" your truck and making yourself look like some Cali douche poser in the process lol

i buy a cheap spray gun and i tink that do the job!

Thanks! I really love it. A lot of little things to do. Tune-up next, temp gauge isn't reading right, and flatten the hood. lol

I just picked up the temp wheels, while I sand and paint the oem ones.

How are you going to go about flattening the hood? I have a little bend in mine and it bugs me. I tried propping it open and pressing down on it. Didn't work though.

My next step is to use a hydraulic jack between the garage door and the hood while it is propped open. Wish me luck. I hope I don't bend it the other way.

I'm planning to use big c clamps and some 2x4s on both side and work it slowly back straight.

Doesn't have to be perfect but should get it close.

I put lmc braces on it but theyre only for before it creases. Whoever gets theirs straight let me know how you did it.

I will let you know how I do when I try my method. Then I'm going to put the braces on it so it stays flat!

Mine already has the braces on it. [emoji849] They just didn't lube the coils/hinge, but rest of maintenance was done. [emoji2369]

But will do. I just need motivation.

My truck already had the hood crease on the passenger side when i bought it. Ive sprayed the hell outta the hinges and it closes better but i usually stand on the pass side and put my arm down the hood, elbow twords windshield and hand twords nose and push down first.

I've used a block of wood and a very large dead-blow hammer... you basically just smash it back down, lol. Once you do that, it's imperative that you weld bracing to the underside of the hood so it doesn't bend again.

I will try that next. But with my luck I'll miss the wood and smash my hood and put a big dent in it. LOL.
