What does it use for refridgerant?
R134a we can’t do r12 in Canada though, r134a ive never heard of it working as an update properly or as efficient- something in the system doesn’t function as it should

R134a is a drop in replacement for R12. Change o-rings and oil, charge it with 10% less and it will work fine. You can change the orifice tube and it will be even better. I have done hundreds of cars like this when I had my own shop in the 90s.
