Does anybody know of a hitch that will work on my 77 K-10. I have a spare tire but not the step bumper. Any suggestions would be great.

etrailer.com probably has about the best inventory out there.I have a 1977 but I have the step bumper, but the underneath bolt on hitches are avail.

The one on my '75 K25 is a Draw-Tite Class III with 2" receiver, and it fits with my 245/75R16 spare tire mounted under the bed. I do not have a step bumper. I had to be careful routing the duals, but they also fit fine.

Mine is really old, so I don't know if it matches any of the current Draw-Tite part numbers. However, my guess is that is about the same as their current #75034 hitch.

@75gmck25,

Yeah, Draw-Tite does because I found one at Walmart one night just looking at trailer pieces parts and low and behold there was one that fit my year truck '74 C10. And it did say Long Bed. I don't remember about if it said short bed to. Now all this other about big tires and square bumpers, I have no idea.

This https://www.etrailer.com/p-41938.html is the hitch I bought for my 84 from etrailer. I've bought a few hitches from them over the years, they always have a variety of types so you can pick what you want. Specs for this one:
  • Maximum gross trailer weight: 12,000 lbs
    • Maximum GTW when used with weight distribution: 15,000 lbs
  • Maximum tongue weight: 1,200 lbs
    • Maximum TW when used with weight distribution: 1,500 lbs
Obviously overkill for a square, but I wanted to have more hitch then I could ever possibly need.
