As the title says, I'm having trouble putting it back together and working. Getting frustrated. Does anyone have pics of the tumbler gear position that has the rod connected to it down to the ignition switch on lower column? Also having trouble with the ignition lock out button. Any pictures of it all hooked up as well? Funny thing, 83 and 85 steering columns don't have that ignition lock button! Why just 84? Thanks for any and all help.

What do you mean by ignition lock button? You mean the lock release tab that GM used on manual trans vehicles? It was a safety feature like the park interlock on automatic vehicles.

I'm not sure if I have them installed correctly.

Yeah, that lever was used for many years on the manual trans trucks. Autos didn't get them. I couldn't tell you if it's installed right though, lol. The lever looks right, but maybe the cylinder isn't timed to the rack correctly?
