Rear window visor

Anyone know if there is a rear window visor out there to go over my slider to keep the rain out when open?

No like the vent visor rain things ya put on the doors but for the slider. Although that would probly work too

It’d be fairly simple to make one from sheet metal that has a fin that sits up in the slider groove with legs that rotate down into the lower groove for a compression fit. I have a brake and shear for making custom flashing and other architectural metal. I could draw you up something if I’ve done a poor job explaining it.

They don't do a very good job of keeping the rain out since the glass slides sideways. It just comes in right below the visor.

I remember seeing them on a lot of trucks in the late 90's and early 00's. But not since then.

I don't know what I think about the one's Dutch posted about, maybe something like junkman posted. I'd like to see both on a squarebody though to know for sure.

A company called Willpak has these louvered ones in various styles for Squares. Some are special order as of 2013.

Those fiberglass ones that bolt on the bed or cab won't work, I mean they fit but rain will come in. The bed mounted as posted above sits behind the cab so rain comes right down, sitting still anyways driving it may stay out alot rain wise.

The other style as I had for my s10 that bolts on the cab well it comes up over the roof but has an air slot between it and the cab so basically air flows right over top of the cab between it and the fiberglass thing.

again sitting still would work some, driving would be better. The cab mounted style would actually work decent for rain in the slider sitting still.

I know the tape on type you speak of lik eones for sunroofs and windows. I too have not sen those in years.
