Rear end swap questions

Just picked a donor vehicle ('03 Yukon XL) to start my LS swap and got to thinking about rear disc.
Has anyone heard of or know if the Yukon/Tahoe rear end will work under a square? With minimal fab...

Iirc, it's a couple inches wider than the squares hed. Ends up making the track width nearly the same as the front on a 4x4. Not sure if the same applies to the 2wd models. I've seen some debate as to wether that affects turning radius or not. Otherwise, it's just a matter of welding the spring perches in the correct spots, and possibly the shock mounts too.

It's wider and 6-lug. Personally, I don't care for those rear discs. Yeah they work ok usually, but the hardware is fragile and everything tends to rust up on them. Also, parking brake adjustment is critical to get them to actually hold well. Really no improvement over the old drum brakes.

I understand that you will already have the axle and brakes at your disposal, but the axle width may be a big issue depending on your plans.

Rear disc is fine, you just have to change the proportioning valve in the front of the truck so that it is a 4 wheel disc setup and if you think about it the proportioning valve in the modern trucks and suv's is the ABS computer. Alternatively you can put in an adjustable prop valve for the rear brakes and then set it and forget it.
