Hi yall. I am new to this forum. I currently have a 1979 c20 suburban and was wondering if anyone knows if you can put an aftermarket c10 rack and pinion on the truck, or if there would be problems with the bigger control arms and more heavy duty suspension.
Thank you

I'm sure you could.... but why would you want to? Are you autocrossing it or something?

LMC sells a kit for about $1900 https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-87-chevy-gmc/cc-1973-87-power-rack-and-pinion-kit

Western Chassis has one for $975 https://westernchassis.com/1973-87-...0EKyIqBzSuvau_giBiOi83hdB9e649Q4aAqleEALw_wcB

If you are just daily driving it.... there is absolutely no reason you would need to convert to rack and pinion
