Q: AC Vacuum Accumulator

Can anyone identify?
It has 2 vacuum leads, if so how does it hook up, and what does it do?

Thx: I now understand that vacuum line is for my HVAC doors. Ironically my AC only blows out the bottom. No Sir out of my vents.
Q: what should that vacuum line be hook to
I guess the other owner chopped it off, reason there's only a nipple of a vacuum line present.

vacuum line hooks to the back of the dash switch assembly. Other end may go to the VC but look at the diagram for specific vehicle. They are on this site if missing.

This is a picture of the vacuum canister on my ‘75. The larger hose coming out of the bottom runs down and over to manifold vacuum. You can see the small line that comes out of the bottom, across the plenum top, and then over and through the firewall. That small line is connected to the HVAC controls under the dash.

Your HVAC line might be missing the small nipple on the end, but you can usually use 3/16 rubber vacuum line to splice it and connect to the canister.

My 86 doesn't have one. Do I need to be looking for one? All the controls inside the cab work.

Q: can u send me an image how your vacuum canister on the left side ( next to the brake booster) is hooked to

If you have a vacuum canister on the drivers side near the firewall, I assume it’s probably for cruise control, which I don’t have.
