I am having a hell of a time trying to find an old school push bar / grille guard for the front bumper of my K20. I really hate the new style "bull bar" but that seems to be all that I can find aside from the push bar with the complete wrap-around that protects the headlights as well. I just want a nice simple, clean and heavy duty chromed push bard/grille guard. Anybody know where I can get one? I'm thinking once I get one, I can mount some nice off-roading lights on it.

This is the kind that I'm looking for .. this is a pic of an '84 Bronco that I used to have...

I've been lucky enough to grab a couple of the old ones from the junkyard, they are very sturdy. They are also just painted, you almost never see the chrome ones.

Its not a bull bar, but this something one of the previous owners tabbed. I'm not too crazy about it.

I would if I knew where the truck was.

He traded it off a long time ago. It was one his buddy had laying around, we drilled 4 holes to make it fit.

@ Bucket - Looks like you have one on your K5. How thick are the uprights and what diameter are the tubes?

T.O.87.C - How thick are the uprights on the one you built?

Just trying to get an idea of the general size, as I have thought about building one for my truck, and maybe other people that might want one.

I've got one on the K5 and the Burb. K5's uprights are thick, like 3/8s and the tubes are only about 2 inches but they are heavy wall. The Burb's uprights are a little thinner, the tubes are about 2.5 inches, but not as heavy walled as the K5's.

No, those are aftermarket. But they do look similar to the factory bumper guards.
