PS gear box leaks

Hi, new here. I bought an 86 K10 and have been working on it for a week. There's a lot of bad and a lot of good. Most of the good is it does run and drive.
One of the bad is the power steering gear box. It's leaking from both the input and sector shaft seal. It leaks even when not running...
It's a New York truck that managed to escape the bad rust...but the steering box has it's share of rust and looks very nasty. I'm thinking the seal surfaces might be pitted and better off to just buy a rebuilt box with a guarantee? No use wasting time on a dead horse...Any opinions welcome.. Thanks
I've replaced seals in in GM two wheel driver boxes...

Well, you know more of what's involved than I do. I know when the box on a jeep I had started leaking, I looked up the repair in the shop manual, and decided to get a new steering box from advance auto. Yeah, I could have done it cheaper, but still didn't have any regrets.

Sad to say but after considering all that needs to be done to make the truck a safe reliable driver...It's being sold for a parts truck...
I'm looking for another one in better condition..
