1984 C10, replaced both window motors/regulators two years ago, passenger side is fine, driver side is stuck, changed the switch on the door but thats not it. I do hear a clicking in the motor, i can push it up or down about an inch. I don’t see or feel anything in the way, wires are good, sprayed wd40 on the track and arm joints still won’t go up manually. How can i change the motor and stuff if i cant get the window up?

When the windows died in my '85, one was up and one was down. It's been a while, but the one that was stuck down, I either was able to walk it up by hand or I unbolted everything and then raised the window up. Then took everything apart after I taped the window up.

I will try that, i came across a video U-wrench TV using meter probes and a drill battery as a switch bypass, may see if that would work, if not do as you said unbolting everything,, thanks

Nice, hope it all goes smoothly for ya. I gave up on the OE motors, got rid of all the factory junk cuz it keeps failing and we're getting less and less time on the motors. Threw a NuRelics power window setup in mine. Expensive but well worth it, works like a new car

Try some “Percussive Maintenance” otherwise known as giving the door panel a good hard smack. Sometimes the brushes in the motor stick, resulting in a less than ideal connection.

If hitting the door fixes it, plan on replacing the motor soon. Power windows NEVER fail to open, they always fail to go up.
