This is the RR door connector pictured. All four doors have a connector just inside of the pillars. The front ones are kind of a bitch to get the harness pulled through with the doors still on.

So whats your suggestion? Installing harness in the doors, then into the cab, then mount the doors? That was my plan. If there's an easier way feel free to share.

Yeah, that's probably the best way I would say. Especially if you can rig up the doors so that you can easily move them closer to the cab, as you get the harness pulled through.

I just purchased front and rear doors from a 87 suburban for my 83 crew cab . They cut the power window and lock wires at the hinges . Now I need the harness under the dash to complete the install . Any leads for a harness would be appreciated. Thx
I have a whole power window wiring set from my 85 k20. Worked when removed, I wanted to go back to manual. Its somewhere around here in a box. I think I have a for sale ad for them and other things....

Thanks again dude. That was the plan, we've got a "harness" to hold the doors with an engine lift. Greatfull for the info.

I replaced my drivers door harness with the door on and it wasn't too bad. A rachet wrench is the way to go to get harness boot off. I just split the grommet at the kick panel so I wouldn't have to remove wires from the connectors under the dash.

The power window and lock harness only has a couple grounds that plug into the ground bus above the park brake pedal, then a couple 12v feeds that plug right into the fuse box.
This is good to know. I was attempting to put AC on my truck last week and suddenly my windows don't work. I bet I bumped/pulled something out while checking fuses under the dash

The harness I have only has one ground wire. I know the relay is dependent on being bolted to a good ground as well.

That's for the power locks. The silver box is a relay.
