I have reassembled the '93 serpentine setup on my 355 project, including pressing on the ps pump pulley.
Now I fear that the alternator/ps pump rear bracket may need modification to clear the tall valve cover.
(Won't know for sure til the covers arrive on Tuesday.)
Should I need to remove the bracket, which will necessitate removal of the ps pump pulley, do I run the risk of losing sufficient grip to press back on??
How many times can that procedure safely be repeated??

You're certainly not going to affect the pump shaft and the pulley seems to tolerate repeated removal. I went through a series of defective reman pumps and have taken the pulley off at least five times and it goes back together just fine. This is assuming you're using the proper puller and not the bfh & crowbar method..

Yup. Got a puller/installer.
Thanks.
