Hi Everyone,
New to forum, semi new to 73-87 trucks.
I've recently acquired an 87' crew cab dually with 454.
The power steering pump started leaking big time so I took it out to diagnose.
Long story short, I intended to repair the pump, but ended up shearing the flange on the pully trying to remove it (with new purchased pully puller =-)
What options do I have for replacing the pump?
It appears there are a lot of pump and pully options.
I have no idea if it's just the connections that are different, or the capacities. I have a remote reservoir.
This appears to be the pump style I have:
http://www.cardone.com/Products/Product-Detail?productId=968714&p=rock
I didn't see any model numbers on the pump I took out.
My pully has three v grooves (the end one is all bent, either by design or from trying to use the wrong pully)
I would hate to buy stock when I can upgrade to something better for minimal cost. I don't want to spend more than $200 for pump and pully.
Thank you,
Mitch
