When I was much younger I would take women riding in a 2WD S10 on purpose to get stuck. I had a buddy with a Jeep I knew would come get me out!

I never did that one. Had a gas tank switching valve for 3 gas tanks though and one port was a plug, so I could conveniently run out of gas whenever I wanted to by reaching down on the side of the driver seat without being noticed. Then when the deed was all done, acted as if my switch valve was hung up, and fixed it and had fuel in the spare tank. Later on, when I was in like Flynn and got accused of running out of gas on purpose, I'd admit it. Makes a girl feel real special when you'll to extreme measures to get all up in it !!!

The 4 foot drop into the stream bed was enough of a shock to crack the cylinder wall - that's why SBC cylinders should never be bored out .0060"

it should have been sonic tested before going that big and never bore a blue or black block more than .30,, the ole 327 small or big journal will go .80 so will most of the early first production 350's...... but i would never go over .60 on an early 350........

You can even take most, but not all, most 283's can go out almost an 8th inch to .120. SBC 400's should never go over .030, but I"ve heard of them going .060 for race only motors. For a fact, it does matter what block casting you have. I've never had a problem taking a 3970010 cast block to .060.
