Figured I'd give an update on my truck since the only time I posted anything was questions to problems lol. I picked the truck up for $500 off a relative who bought it and lost interest. At first glance I noticed it definitely needed inner fenders and a new core supoort as they were shot. Plus tires because they were dry rotted to hell and back but for the most part, it looked pretty decent for a nearly 40 year old truck that sat for a couple years. Couldn't really complain for the price I paid. I bought a set of 4 used but still good shape 33×12.50 tires on rally wheels that I'm still running a year later because they still have lots of tread left for $300. Not to bad. I tore the front end apart and realized my front fenders were more bondo than steel so I figured might as well replace them while I had it all torn apart. The truck is a 78 but had an early 80s front clip on it with the single headlights so I bought a dual headlight core support and wired up the new lights. Sometimes i wish i went back to the 78 front clip but hindsights 20-20. Since I was waiting on my fenders, i put headers on with true duals and changed my plugs and wires. A lot easier when you don't have any fenders or a hood in the way lol. I replaced the rockers, fixed the bottom of the doors, put some patch panels in the bed sides since I couldn't afford a new bed and couldn't even find any decent used ones here in western Pa. And just recently got her painted. Plum crazy purple. I think it turned out awesome. That's basically it for now. So many little things too. New dash insert, new gauge cluster. Driver window regulator. Gas filler neck because more gas ended up on the ground than in my tank. Had to replace a a stripped out pitman arm. New windshield and tailgate. I know I'm forgetting a bunch of things. But just wanted to share the paint job and some background on the truck. I think I'm gonna switch out the rally wheels for a set of black jackman style wheels that came with the truck. Now I've got to start making the interior nice lol

As it sits today. I'd like to put a roll bar in the bed. Get a roll pan bumper and maybe a push guard. So many possibilities

Almost forgot the horrendous oil leak caused by my oil pressure sensor, the back of my intake, and my rear main. While we were doing the rear main, we noticed my flex plate had a huge crack in it so we replaced that as well. Now she doesn't leak a drop of oil

Can't say I've ever seen a Chevy truck painted plum crazy. I think it looks terrible on a Cuda (probably going to catch some crap for saying that) but it looks pretty good here. And I don't know if you did it on purpose or not, but your end pieces of your grille surround trim are on upside down. The rounded end goes at the bottom, and the square end on top.

Thanks. I wanted to go with something different. I was originally gonna do red or black but I see that color everywhere. I wanted it to stand out from all the other square bodies around. Even if it is a Chrysler color lol. And you're the first person to ever point that out. I didn't even notice that lol
