Greetings,
I'm new to this forum but have owned this particular one for over twenty years. I'm sort of at a crossroads here, partly introducing myself to a group of potential friends and partly because I'd like to hear opinions on a fair market value for this.
The truck has been in storage for over fifteen years waiting on the day I could afford to do what I want with it. It does not appear that day will come.
1985 C10 Custom deluxe trim, I am the second owner. (Family member purchased new) oklahoma truck all it's life. Originally equipped with the LG4 305
Turbo 350C transmission, 2.73 rear gears.
I know for sure the truck has never been hit or painted. If memory serves I gave 1200 for it almost two decades ago. I'd like realistic thoughts as to its value please as I'm trying to decide to keep or sell. It's always been stored indoors BTW.
Thank you for your time in reading this.

Welcome!
Like every answer...it depends.
If the original paint/interior is in great shape (or been restored to such) then that truck is over $10k, running/driving/maint/repairs up to date.
If it looks better with the dust on it, than off, it's still a very solid truck and desirable. Maybe not a $10k truck though, depending.

Good luck with your sale. Post it up here too if you're selling it.
But hopefully you'll find the means to keep a beautiful classic truck like that.

Thank you for all the welcoming messages. It does clean up well. Paint is in relatively good condition and original. Little thin on the roof but no rust. This Pic. Was taken when it moved from my warehouse storage to my shop storage in 2012. It does not currently have an engine in it as that was pulled for an L31 swap. There is a 4L60 on the floor next to it but child support and other trivialities of life have been getting in the way for the last 10 years. Hate seeing it just sit but also aware of the difficulties in getting a clean straight one later if finances improve. Not sure what to do.

Well that's a wee detail that may affect the value a teensy bit....
I retract my previous guessstimate.
If you need to sell it, do like everyone else. Put if for sale at an "I know what I got" price and see what kind of offers you get.

But since admittedly money is tight, presuming you know how to install an engine and trans and make it work and not be a hack job, good running small blocks and transmissions are not horribly expensive and the truck will be worth far more running and driving well then the difference in price between a rolling chassis and a running truck. (If you're economical doing the work, not racking up the credit card at Summit Racing!)

Welcome aboard.

If you can keep it with minimal hassle, hold onto it. If in another decade you decide to sell, you can thank me for helping you increase your return. Unless inflation eats up all the future profit.... not my fault! ;)

Welcome from the PNW!

I say keep it. They aren't making anymore of these and that looks like a clean short wide with the provenance on it to boot. Think of it like a piggy bank you don't actually need to put money in.
