So I so I picked this truck up a few weeks ago and have already started collecting parts to make the way I want it. It’s a 1985 and I bought from the original owner. It’s in awesome shape but a couple of items are showing their age.
What do you guy think about the paint scheme? It needs some paint work done so I was thinking of reversing the two tone.
Here’s a pic.

Beautiful Chevy Joel !!! I Really like the color combo. So I would probably like it reversed. Refreshing to see a good old Chevy at stock height. jmo .

Real nice truck. Reversing the paint scheme would be an nice combo, but probably a lot of work to ensure door jambs, engine compartment, etc.. match.

Sweet truck, I personally like the color combination. I would consider repainting the bottom area and call it good for now. Unless you're in a hurry, you can always repaint the whole truck later. These trucks are extra impressive in original or near original condition. IMHO. Yours is very impressive.

Welcome from Texas. Like it just like that. Reverse the colors would look good too.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I’ll fix only what needs to be fixed for now. Worry about getting it running the way I want for now. I already have all new front suspension and steering installed. I’m pretty sure it was all original. Going to redo the seat next week with new upholstery and foam then looking at the engine. Looking at one of the GM performance turn key engines. Think I’ll be happy with anything over 350 hp I hope.

I agree that the color combination looks really nice as well as the shiny pieces.

Very nice indeed!
BTW... what's the pole, that's attached to the right front bumper, for?

The previous owner was a JC Whitney aficionado.
Bumper stalks, cab grab handles, bed rails, tailgate protector, window and windshield visors. Period cool.

Can't see from the pics if it has bumper thingies or fog lights.

Lol!! The pole is a corner marker light. Lots of trucks had them back in the day. It has a green light on top that comes on with the park lights.
