Ok y'all I said I'd start a thread on this to help people out on buffing our trucks back to a shine. It's not hard but, you do need practice on it and what other old trucks would be perfect for the practice.

I got my buffer and all the pads and spur off Amazon for under a 100 bucks. The compound was about 20 bucks for that big bottle that will do your truck a bunch of times. But, you don't want to do this a bunch of times. Do ya? I think it's a NO on that.

So make sure to wax it at least once a month with an easy off wax. Because once you bring the paint back best you can you'll need to maintain it by waxing. That's the only way. Idc if they say you'll only have to wax it once a year. They are lieing to you!!

Here's the first video I did I hope it helps. Feel free to ask me anything you want . I'll do my best to answer the questions.

Looks pretty damned good.
I have been thinking about paying someone to do mine, but I might take the plunge and do it myself.

I'm happy with the results so far. Paying someone is very expensive for sure. Cost ya $125+ 25 years ago. Now it's $200+ for the service.

I'm just saying it's not as bad as it came seem. I'll keep rec the rest way thru on it.

Looks good, but waxing every month? No thanks. I'd start with a cleaner wax once to deoxidixe and get the paint ready for a good ceramic clear spray wax. Really shines and lasts much longer.
