My 84 Sierra has an aftermarket 350, and it's black. Having a replacement 350 and having my mechanic paint it GM blue. I found some on Amazon so I bought 2 cans. Duplicolor DE1609. $12.98/can. I know it's not right but I want something other than Black, or Orange. I'll post a pic of the can.

Side track, but ...
Didn't Olds have some gold engines ?
My '69 455 is red, and I think in the '80s they were blue.
The gold engines started out as an incentive program in the factory in the early '70s IIRC. If an engine scored perfectly in QC checks on the first try they'd paint it gold. At some point the public heard about it and everyone started insisting on a gold engine so for a while they just painted them all gold.
