ordered more chrome for my 88 k1500

yep got the chrme roll bar from Curt, ordered some stainless/chrome side tube/nerf bars/steps for it, and tonight I ordered a matching tube bull bar for it. Both should be in next week, gonna get some lights to put on the bull bar to match the rollbar lights.

Haven't put anything on yet, not sure when I'll get to but I do have them ordered as waiting on them. Will get pics when they come in.

Hopeing to order a body lift next, then some new chrome/euro like headlights to match my parklights I already have, some clear sidemarkers, and the biggest thing is some 35's. I may also get some new torsion bars from ebay or junkyard, run some 3/4 ton ones to help level mine out.

I'm getting this little stuff out of the way since I can run it and use it now, gonna have to save up for the tires, hopeing to find a good deal local, if not then I'll keep saving a buy new. They are around $220 a piece. Tirerack has some cheaper, but time you pay shipping it's like the same price.

scroll down on that bull bar page and check out the truck, kina the exact look I'm going for, except roll bar with 2 lights, then bull bar, lights, got the steps, got the visor, got the stainless rocker and fender trim too.

Damnit, I offered a aluminum one like mine for free about month ago and chevy 8ft diamond plate bed rails too.

You should put up a before pic to show progress. Also while you're at the junkyard I would try to get the front diff from a 2500, much more gear/locker options. Sounds like you got a great start goin Chris!!

yea I already need alot of chrome polish, bumpers, fender trim, rocker trim, grille, underhood. LOL. Only thing missing is chrome wheels and mirrors, definately gonna get chrome mirrors, mines rusted, and black, but wheels, might be awhile. I just bought a set of 15x8 oobs rallys to put on it.

I would but I hear swapping the ifs 3/4 front end is alot more work then it's worth. I am hopeing to find a front and rear setup with at LEAST 4.10's to buy and bolt under it though, gonna need em for 35's.

I got some befores, before any chrome, and I got some from now as she sits.

Aluminum bumper guard like mine except mine is chrome.

Hey your wheels look better than mine. That crapy film they on the aluminum is coming off on mine.

My brother did the exact same thing with his front bumper, removed the molding and put on a chrome strip to cover the holes.

FWIW, I really like the stock headlights.

alot of guys do, I don't care much for them really, I like the chrome ones and want some bright lights, going with blue bulbs, maybe even HID's.

As for my wheels, yea in the later pics I sanded and polished them after stripping the clear coat from them.

What did you use to strip the clearcoat? Rustoluem Auto Stripper?

nope, I used citristrip from wal-mart. I had a thread about it I'm pretty sure, not real sure on here but other forums I know I did for sure.
