So my 78 is factory with the clear turn signal lens, i prefer the older amber lens. What do you all think?

Amber looks better IMO if you are going for restored. If it's gonna be a street rod or something like that then go with clear

It was bought to restore due to the cheap price and numbers matching drive train but ended up a DD due to loss of my other truck so now she needs help. I plan on swappin the nose to a 73 if i can find one.

I like the splash of color so I voted for amber. But I wouldn't hate it the other way either.

I like amber much better. I guess it won’t matter if you run NA bulbs with the clear lenses, but I prefer the amber far more still.

Those lenses get so brittle after 40 years.
Had to sell a 64 Malibu wagon years ago..was changing a bulb and idiot neighbor steps on the lens.
Nothing left.
This was before the internet of course, when you couldn't find everything in 30 seconds.
With my long list of driving awards couldn't afford to drive with broken tail light.

Clear lenses are a distraction after dark.
I drive for a living, those guys and their super bright headlights drive me nuts
Driving an 80k rig through a construction zone with skinny lanes and I'm blinded by some joker with a light house for headlights...lol

Oh, sorry. NA is naturally amber. What you’re running now, I suppose.
