one piece or two piece vent windows?

Can I use a one piece on a 2 piece vent? I already have the one piece. If not, I may have a set for sale.

I redone the vent windows on my 77 K10. And dang if I don't want to go to a solid glass next time.pia is an understatement

Here’s one. I detest the way it looks.
But I’m foaming at the mouth to get the flush fit back window they make

I’m doing this as we speak. Got both units done (2 piece seal ) the 2 pc. Is 73-80. The 2 piece glass is taller by over an inch and the glass is thicker @ 1/4”. The one piece glass is shorter and thinner. I can measure mine if you need that number. I did not separate my frames. I installed the larger seal first and then the channel seal with the rivets last. You have to soap the large seal to facilitate installation but not nearly as much as you think. Too much soap and you cannot grasp the frame to muscle in the big seal. Having hand strength like a gorilla helps here. There’s a reason they want $300-$500 to rebuild these units. Its doable , from strip down to re install , including repainting everything you can get them done in one weekend if all parts are on hand. The little pivot hinge I’m experimenting with #8 stainless steel screw and nylon locknut we’ll see how it holds up. Good luck.

I prefer the vent windows, I like the look and the function since my truck doesn’t have AC they are very useful
