I ordered the kit from LMC.It didn't have the rubber piece that holds the glass itself inside the frame groove. Some will seal it with silicone there but I never have.I wd-40 the channel the bigger rubber goes into and it was still stubborn.Riveted that vertical post rubber on.A glass man told me they charge a good bit to repair vent windows...if you find one that will do it.He said it was a $500 job but couldn't get that much to do it tho.lol

I usually use the silicone line spray and some heat if I’m really struggling. I guess I’m also an outlier that uses a screwdriver.
your thumbs will hurt for a few days after the jobs done LOL.

It's hard to tell with your pictures. It's difficult with any pictures as they look the same until you take it apart.

Rebuilding vent windows is time consuming and is difficult to do without wind noise. I'd pull one, take it apart and order exactly what you need. LMC only takes 2-3 days to get parts.

If you don't want to do the job, PRP rebuilds vent windows. They dissasemble, powder coat the uprights, replace the glass, seals, etc and guarantee the job with American parts and labor.

Due to the curve at the top corner of the glass, I can tell you they are 80's design and not 70's design. Couldn't say about the seals though, I've never replaced them.

It’s not hard to tell. the gasket will go over the window pivot on the single piece designs.
On the two piece you can see the pivot bracket as it attaches to the frame.

This circled part. The metal bracket would be covered by the gasket of it was a single piece. My trucks a single. But I’m a few hundred miles from my truck RN.

Timely thread! Just took my vent windows out last night. Have the new seals, gonna be a side job while I'm re-doing the rest of the truck....yay.
Obviously window comes out. Presume drill bracket rivets out of frame vs drilling out the single rivet that the window pivots on? (thats what the utoob guy did, lol)
Question, do you have to drill out and split the 2 pieces of the frame to replace the seal, or can you leave the long straight window track attached to the other piece?

I forsee having way too many hours into these ******* things by the time they are apart, cleaned up and painted and re-assembled.....
