Welp, the seller just cancelled the order at the last minute. They gave me an excuse about running out of tires but I'm going to guess that they realized the error and figured they'd rather cancel the order(s) rather than take the loss. Oh well, was worth a shot.

Yep, that's a lie cuz when the auction ended, they had more than 10 sets left.

Exactly. Oh well. As long as I get my money back I'll just move on. I'd probably do the same thing if it was my business that made the mistake

I agree. No sense in holding them to fire when it's an obvious mistake, but still pretty ****** that they lied #1, and #2 waited days to let you know and even sent a shipping confirmation. And they should give you a coupon too for 15-25% off on a set of 4 tires, so they at least break even but you get a deal.

They did offer a 10% discount on a set if tires if I'd like to do that. If it was more along the lines of the 20-25% I'd probably think about it but at 10% I can find cheaper deals elsewhere so I'll probably just pass on it.

I'd still leave them neg Feedback. ********. I'd file a dispute with Ebay also, that is a binding contract.

This tire drama just will not die!!! Check out the email below that I just got!! :banghead:

The items you have ordered from us with RD ##### have already been
dispatched from our warehouse despite the cancellation.
Unfortunately, we can no longer stop the delivery and therefore we would kindly ask you to
refuse the delivery of the tyres, so that they can be returned directly to us.
In case delivery already took place and you have the goods in your possession, please let us
know as soon as possible if you wish to keep them or if you want us to collect them. If you
decide to keep the tyres, please inform us so we can then send you the invoice by e-mail.
Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences we may have caused you.

So obviously, they weren't really out of tires but they've already "cancelled" the order and have technically refunded my money according to PayPal even, though, the money isn't physically in my account. The tires have not shown up yet but when they do I'm not sure what to really do now. I may need legal counsel on this deal

Wow. So if you keep them they are going to bill you. These guys sound shady. Since they messed up and shipped them anyway, they should let you keep them for the price you paid and be done with it. Getting legal advice may be a wise thing to do.

Accept the tires, according to ebay policy the tires are yours. You bid on the item, you won the item, you paid for the item. Not your fault the seller screwed up with pricing. Tell them you got the tires you want them for the 37.00 as listed + free shipping. If they send you an invoice for anything else, fill a complaint with Ebay. You will win. i have over 1600 pos feedback on ebay, been a member sense 1999. I know what I'm talking about. Your first auction is a legal binding contract.

This sounds like a logical scenario and will most likely go this route. As of now, the tracking numbers I have state that the shipping labels are still being "created". So once they arrive (assuming they ever do) I'll hit them up with this. Seems like I've definitely got the upper hand. Either way it's a major cluster and I wish I'd never seen the deal. I have no idea how they have such a high positive feedback over 8000+ feedbacks posted.

Thanks for the insight, Shawn! I've only had maybe 80 eBay transactions and have never had this issue before.

That definitely sounds like a good way to approach it.

It's a typo, they are probably a good company, but the person that does their on line auctions screwed up, and they are trying not to loose their ass on it.

Right now just waiting a few more weeks and the '98 will have all new audio in it and new carpet.

In the meantime, I just got a killer deal from Freedom Motorsports over on TYF for new brakes for the '98 :rocking: You won't get a much better deal than the one they have going right now. Check out the link :)

I got refunded and nothing ever showed up  If I search the tracking number it still says "creating label" but that's about it. I don't think the company is sure which was is up at this point. What a mess LOL
