has anyone taken the gas tank and just built a frame/box and placed it in the bed? I want it out from the drivers side but i really don't want to do the tank/blazer swap. is there any downfalls? i can run a electric pump on the frame rails to pull the fuel out. ::: it will be on a 82 c10 in the process of dropping 6-7 in the rear now. running a 350 motor. i could then just run a hard cover on the bed and mount the fill just inside bed. raise the cover and fill the tank. am i thinking about this right?

Might be easier to just get a fuel cell or tidy tank

If your gonna move it nothing says you need to use the factory tank except for the purpose of keeping the fuel sending unit I guess

i was just thinking if i use the OE tank then it would save me some cash for other upgrades. but a cell would look so much nicer and safer
