Alright, I might be a little crazy, but...

I pushed my 77 c10 out of my pole barn, turned it around, and pushed it in reverse back into the pole barn.

My young sons were helping me push it.
When we got it into place, one of my 9yo boys said there was oil leaking out.

I looked down, sure enough, there was oil. I popped the hood and oil was leaking out of the oil fill/cap.

I've only had this truck a short while, driven it very sparingly, and there's never been oil.

Any ideas?

Was the truck running when you were pushing it? I've had the problem of the oil breather cap spilling but it just made a messy valve cover. Taller covers cured that for me. Not sure what else may cause that.

Maybe a damaged or worn cap. Especially if the truck had just been run.

No, the truck wasn’t running when we pushed it.

I suppose it could be the cap.

But how much pressure could there really be?

No idea than, there should be technically no pressure there if it wasn't running.

could it possibly be coming out of the power steering pump from turning the wheel without the motor running
