Sometimes it is the simplest things that give problems. Always starts simple and Cheap and go from there. I had one of the wreckers out while back and was dragging a farm truck out of a barn with a chain. As i backed up and pulled chain tight the wrecker died and lost all power. I ended up running a found peace of house wire to the junction block on firewall and the wrecker started and worked fine, except the headlights ran while truck ran. A couple days later I finally got caught up and tore into it. As I had backed up and put the wrecker under load the main feed wire shorted out between back of motor and the firewall burning in to and melting the whole harness into a blob. I got lucky it didnt burn truck to the ground and hardest part to repaie was finding a unmolested engine harness for it,
