No fuel in carb at start up

Hey everyone,
I have a small issue. Recently I’ve been having to pour gas into the carb bowl for my 1985 to start. Even after a day or two of getting it going. Is this an oil pressure sending unit problem ? Any suggestions for what I should do first ? Thanks in advance

But it runs fine after it starts? What carb do you have?

Is it a Quadrajet carb? If so the well plugs need to be sealed.
I haven’t done it in many years but we used to epoxy them.

Floats stuck? Not allowing the gas in to fill bowls.

I haven’t done it in many years but we used to epoxy them.
It’s a quadrajet. It worked fine last year.

How do I check that ?
I'd pull the fuel line to the carb and check the little filter in there to make sure it's not too dirty. Heck you can just put a new one in they're cheap. Then turn the engine over with the line in a bottle or something and see if the pump pumps gas to the carb.

If it is getting gas I'd tap the sides of the carb and see if you can unstick them. If not then you'll have to take the top of the carb off. I've never rebuilt one but I think you can get to the floats then and unstick if they're stuck.

Sometimes they stick after sitting for a while.

Are you pouring it in the bowl? Or down the throat. Leaky plug wells were a 1970 and prior deal,not saying it can't happen,but not probable. So back to what I asked are you filling the float bowl or dumping fuel down the carbureator primaries?

The epoxy would work, but it wasn’t a long term fix, eventually it would fail also.
There used to be replacement plug kits that had o-rings that replace the originals.
It’s been decades since I’ve worked on a Qjet though they may not be available any more.

No it's not related to oil pressure.

I open primaries and fill where the jet of gas would have went.

We have zero fuel coming into the fuel filter.

Where is the relay or fuse located for the fuel pump? Once I dump gas in carb it then fires up
