Hello guys. Your going to hear a lot from me here in the future. I plan on restoring my 85 chevy silverado to original. I have had the truck for a few years and when I bought it most of the interior is done, but have several things to go. First is the cowl hood has to go! I know some like it, but I'm not a fan. Also going to put the original radio back in.

Welcome from up in the Panhandle.
Thanks, I'm down here in the armpit of Texas, just north of Houston. I will actually be up in the panhandle next weekend for a bow shoot in Wellington.

Welcome to the club. Glad to have you. nice truck you got there. Love the interior. Color is exactly what I have in mind for my 78. Gotta ask you a question. On the exterior picture it looks like at the a pillar starts as blue at the bottom and turns to tan at the top. Must be an optical illusion or color shadow? Probably just the pic, but I am curious.

Very nice.
Now with the radio you could get a retrosound, I have one and quite like it myself. They have a few versions at different prices. Of course I get it if you want proper original.

I was thinking about going with the upgrade on lmc site. I would like the modern features with the original look as this is my daily driver. Here is what i was thinking: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=93

It is an illusion. Teal green an tan are the only colors. I plan on restoring it to its original color wich is this:

Nice. I like your color choices for the future too. thinking about repainting a 71 GMC I picked up in this shade of dark brown.
