This is my second burb and fourth squarebody. Current burb is an 88 4x4 with the 350. Was a government truck in northern nevada in its past life. Perhaps dept of forestry ? P.O .told me that unsure if its true. Past suburban was a 91 4x4 which i traded for my 1980 cj7. Little chilly here in the desert so i needed an enclosed vehicle, enter my new 88. Prior other squares were a pair of 79 chevy trucks a while ago. I go back n forth between chevy and fords, honestly love the 67 to 72 f250s. But the burbs looks and simplicity of the 350 bring me back to the chevy side. Once i got her home i changed all fluids, hoses, belts, a few bulbs and fuses, took the rear wheels off and cleaned up the rusted back drums, seatcover on front bench of my three benches, new rubber weatherstrip on barn doors, and general overall cleanup. I ordered some new headlight bezels as well as a new stock grill, to replace the billet grill someone put on. My favorite purchase was the 4 dog dish stockers i installed on my stock wheels. Love that look on the 4x4 ! Cleaned and flat black sprayed the wheels first. Lastly the color of my burb is like a gold/brown mix, affectionately almost the same color as a turd. At least thats what my coworkers call it....
