NEWB with a 79 short box

Hello. New to this site. I own a 79 shortbox project truck that I've been working on for about 7 years off and on. I'm hoping to connect with guys that have more insight and experience with these trucks than I do. My truck is not a runner at the moment, but it's getting closer by the week. When I bought it, I was looking for a REAL project truck. Something that was solid and rust free, but was never supposed to ever be on the road again. I got what I wished for. Mine was in a bunch of pieces and had a lot of really bad things done to it, but it's getting there slowly but surely. Thanks for having me!

I do love me some VW's, but the "Squareback" name comes from one of my vintage BMX bikes. A nickle plated 75' Dan Gurney Squareback.

I'm in Gilbert. I see you're not all that far from me. I know about Squarebody Syndicate for sure, but I'll have to check the others out. Thanks for the heads up. I'm literally just barely starting to branch out with this. Should have done it a lot sooner.
