Hey folks,
New here from Texas. Over the years I've had a soft spot for RCSB trucks. Decided I was tired of perpetual payments and decided to look for a clean classic to daily. Found a solid 73 that had a cheap respray approx 15-20yrs ago, assumed it was going to fit the bill due to very little rust and the wiring harness looked to be less than 10yrs old... After driving it for 1000 miles, I finally found an envelope under the seat with maintenance records so I checked the block and heads... Turns out it's original with a cheap respray and some interior plastic...
I'm also working on a 68 Ford short bed, so now I feel the need to get it going to reduce the miles I put on the 73... I love driving it, I just treat it a little different since there is pretty good evidence that it's an 80k mile truck.
I came to the forum so I can pick your brains, and try to keep this one from being attacked by my "upgrade" ideas I had the day I bought it...lol
