Hi there, Newb from Vancouver, WA. Purchased my first squarebody this weekend since I sold my '89 K5 in 1997. 1991 3/4 ton, 4x4 Burb.
Assets:
4L80e that shifts pretty good
full float rear axle (both axles from a '78 I've been told)
Paint and interior are serviceable
All power accessories work - all locks, windows, a/c (front and rear) etc., except Cruise
Bluetooth stereo
3" single exhaust, no cat. PO told me it didn't come with one factory, looking at emissions sticker I think he's right.
Cool looking flat black steelie wheels from a late model van.
Deficits:
No e-brake. PO did not re-engineer attachment between '78 axle and '91 cable.
Cruise no workie
Exhaust is really loud. Thrush turbo muffler - I may replace it with a Magnaflow.
Lots of dings, small dents and scratches. But it's been used as a truck.
