I know, I know, reset the timer for number of minutes since someone asked the same question.

I’m getting used to forums again, been spending too much time on Facebook groups these days and using my phone of course which makes it even easier

I have, currently, a 1973 bone stock K10. I am about to install a rough country 2 inch lift kit, not using blocks. The truck currently has what I always referred to as white generic trailer wheels And I of course put new tires on it last March when we revived it.

That said, I want to purchase similar wheels because I actually like the look, that are 15x8. And then get some Goodyear DuraTrac tires that are 33X12.5X15.

If nothing else on the truck has been replaced/modified, is there any reason whatsoever that I should not be able to do that as long as the backspacing on the wheels is 3.75 inches?

I have attached a couple pictures of what I was looking at. Far as I can tell, it looks correct although their website doesn’t list anything as fitting this truck. So I’ll have to call in the order, but that means I need to be extra sure what I order is valid.

Thoughts?

Brian

Wagon wheels always looked good on these rigs and that setup should work just fine. Nice they come in correct bolt pattern without having to custom order either

As for the tires, I ordered tires through Wheel Works and was told it was okay to try and if I wasn’t pleased they would be happy to order another set.

@bbusse That will work just fine. Here is mine with a Skyjacker 2" softride and 33x12.50s on the factory rally wheels.

Redfish, you never resist the opportunity to show us that lovely GMC. I'm gonna start a counter for how many times I see that most fine ride you have.

I actually am a little embarrassed about doing that but THE SAME question gets asked and a picture tells the right answer. I have been on forums where the regulars would literally roast any "noob" that dared to ask a question that had previously been answered. They would say, "Do A Search" and it was toxic and unfriendly. They would all gang up and torment the new guy and that turned a lot of folks away that would have been good members.

So I try to answer the questions that new members ask with as much detail as possible even when we have done it several times before. I need to take some more pics of The Truck but I find that a surprising number of the pics I have were taken just for this forum.

There are better trucks than mine on here for sure.

Man, I spot that truck in many different forums. It's a fine example for certain. I tried unsuccessfully to buy a tan/white LB K10 '86 like that back in the 90s. I'd be proud to own it.

Just to be clear, I know a lot of people reference factory rally wheels. I of course don’t have them, what size are they? For whatever reason I’m nervous about ordering the wheels knowing that I’m telling them what I want versus knowing what truly fits, based on a few random forum posts I’ve found.

What I’m looking at:
15x8
6 x 5.5/139mm
3.75” backspacing
-19 offset.

Hi All,
Sorry if it's a repeat question but does anyone know if that tire size, 33x12.5, will fit on a completely stock, unlifted '81 K30 1 ton, single rear wheels?
Stock height, no lift.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

my answer to @mrdap and @bbuse some trimming on the front will have to happen! But if the cancer I'm seeing on @bbuse I would take the wheel trim off first and let the tires remove the rust parts then clean it up! On a stock setup with a 2 inch lift should be ok!

FWIW, I'm planning on 33x10.50x15's on stock rally wheels with no lift on my Suburban.

Here's my old 76 rot box. I put 31's on just after getting it. I then added some 35's on Rallye wheels. It's a rusty hag with no lift. The tires clearanced the fenders themselves...
